NOA's 2026 Spring Conference a Sunny Success

More than 200 Doctors of Optometry, paraoptometrics, exhibitors, and speakers gathered in Lincoln on February 26-28 to participate in CE sessions, networking events, an exhibit hall and a legislative luncheon with state senators.

Featured speakers included Dr. Jaci Theis of Virginia Neuro-Optometry, Dr. Srihari Narayanan of Rosenberg College of Optometry, University of the Incarnate Word, and Adam Cmejla, Integrated Planning and Wealth Management in Indiana.

Thanks to NOA members who spoke to ODs and/or paras: Dr. Cheryl Chapman, Dr. Will Ferguson, Dr. John Goertz, Kr. Kathleen Holthaus, Dr. Lawrence Nguyen, and Dr. Kristen Walton.

The speaker list also included Lori Proencher, MD, Keegan Mechels, MD, Jessica Liu, MD and Brian Armstrong, MD, all from Omaha.

Seventeen of NOA’s 20 Partners in Professionalism exhibited at the conference.

Members participated in a networking reception on Thursday evening, and a basket raffle throughout the conference. They raffle raised more than $1,000 for the Nebraska Foundation for Children's Vision.
