2021 NOA Fall Convention - September 23-25 - Younes Conference Center - Kearney, Nebraska

NOA Fall Convention Moving to Virtual Event

Due to increased health concerns and rising cases of COVID and the Delta variant, the NOA Fall Convention will now be a virtual-only event on September 23-25. The NOA Board has made the difficult decision to cancel plans for an in-person convention and instead offer the meeting for doctors and paras via Zoom.

"We are tremendously disappointed to miss this opportunity to get everyone back together again in person," said NOA President Amy DeVries, OD. "We know there are a lot of our members who were excited about this meeting and who would prefer that we go ahead and offer the opportunity to members who are comfortable with attending in-person events.

"But with the increasing impact of COVID again across the state, the Board was also conscious that if we should happen to have any exposure to COVID that resulted from our meeting, we could adversely impact the operation of a number of optometric offices across the state and could risk significant adverse publicity to our profession," she said.  "With the likelihood that the public health situation with COVID is going to get worse over the next few weeks, the prudent course of action, although not desirable, was to drop the plans for an in-person gathering."

CE hours for ODs and paras will be offered live and will still count for licensure or certification purposes the same as in-person hours. The revised convention schedule and pricing options will be available soon. Doctors and paras who were already signed up for the Kearney meeting will be contacted and reconfirmed over the next week or so.

There are separate registrations for doctors and paras, and partial registration options available. Click on one of the buttons below for registration, schedules, and more information.
