Webinar 1: Wide River Technology

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 gave authority to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) to provide financial incentives to providers who become “meaningful users” of ARRA-certified EHRs by 2015. However, in order to qualify for the maximum incentive from CMS, providers must start using a certified EHR in calendar years 2011 or 2012. By doing so, providers will leverage health information technology to improve health care quality and efficiency, patient communication and outreach, while also reducing health disparities across the entire continuum of care.
Wide River Technology Extension Center, Nebraska's Regional Extension Center, provides resources and assistance to facilitate your efforts to adopt, implement or upgrade to an ARRA-certified EHR. This webinar includes information about Meaningful Use and how Wide River TEC can assist eye care providers in their journey to meet Meaningful Use and to start receiving these incentive funds.
