The NOA Legislative Conference provides an important annual opportunity for optometrists to meet with state senators en masse, and the larger the turnout by ODs, the more of an impression it makes on state senators.  Held in Lincoln, usually in February, during the State Legislative Session. The event focuses on legislative and regulatory issues critical to the profession and includes an opportunity to develop or renew relationships with state lawmakers.
