Nebraska State Capitol - NOA

Protecting Your Profession - NOA and AOA speak as your advocate before governmental bodies as the unified voice of the optometric profession. Optometry is a legislated profession and the NOA and AOA make sure your concerns are heard.   NOA and AOA are continuing to craft new and updated laws ensuring that doctors of optometry will continue to meet the growing needs of their patients.

Promoting Your Profession - The NOA and AOA defend optometry before policy makers and work to elevate the profession in the public perception.  Today's optometrists are on the front lines of not only eye health but community health.   The consumer awareness efforts educate the public on the importance of eye health and the leading role optometrists play in protecting it.  NOA conducts an aggressive, year-round, statewide marketing and consumer education campaign to grow the marketplace for vision care and optometrists' services.
